Welcome to the Melk Stiftskeller - the ideal place for your private celebrations! Whether you want to celebrate your graduation in style, a milestone birthday or simply enjoy a special occasion with friends: You'll find the perfect setting for every occasion here. We also offer ideal conditions for your business or conference events with our spacious rooms.

You can choose from various catering options that are tailored to your group size and wishes. From classic buffets and multi-course menus to our convivial ‘family style platter dinner’ - we will put together an unforgettable experience for you.

The centrepiece of our restaurant, the Benediktiner Keller, is the first of a total of 7 vaulted cellars. This is where our guests are welcomed and brought to the table.
In our bar, which was redesigned in 2023, guests can simply enjoy a glass of wine or a fresh beer.

Capacity: 50-60 guests

The Kolomanikeller, named after the patron saint of the town of Melk, St Koloman, is the largest of our rooms. It can accommodate groups of up to 90 people.
It is characterised by its high vaulted ceiling and the large oriel table, where we can seat groups of up to 15 people. We use the neighbouring Abt Stüberl as a buffet room for celebrations.

The Veltliner Stüberl, a homage to Austria's favourite white wine variety, is a small room at the end of our cellar vault.

Here you can philosophise in peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the main area.
However, caution is advised, as it is a long way to the nearest toilet or the exit.

Capacity: 15 guests

The Convent is a meeting or monastic gathering, so it is fittingly the largest of our extra rooms and therefore also the most frequently booked.

The long, wide tables are perfect for our family-style platter buffet. The cosy atmosphere and compact layout are popular for birthdays, graduations and Christmas parties.

with Veltliner Stüberl: approx. 50 guests

Named after the Babenberg dynasty, which ruled the Margraviate of Eastern Arrichi (Austria) from today's Melk from the beginning of the 11th century.
The parlour is located in the younger part of the abbey cellar and is characterised by the once secret staircase to the gate area of the building complex. Unfortunately, the staircase was closed at some point in the past.

Capacity: 30 guests

The most rustic parlour of our rooms offers space for up to 8 guests. You can enjoy maximum privacy here. The room is located at the back of the Melker Stiftskeller and is accessible via a separate door.
